Who We Are?
An auxiliary organization of the ahmadiyya muslim comunity for men of age 40 and above.
The name “Ansarullah” is an Arabic expression meaning “helpers of Allah.” It is taken from a verse of the Holy Qur’an, “And when Jesus perceived their disbelief, he said, ‘Who will be my helpers in the cause of Allah?’ The disciples answered, ‘We are the helpers of Allah. We have believed in Allah. And bear thou witness that we are obedient”
Āle`Imrān Chapter 3, Verse 53
All Ahmadi Muslims who are forty years of age or over comprise the general body of ‘Ansarullah.’ Majlis Ansarullah, like the main body of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community – to which it is subordinate – is a non-political, religious and spiritual organization.
The Ahmadiyya Movement in Islam was founded by Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) in 1889 who proclaimed to be the Promised Messiah of the latter days. Since its inception, the community has strived tirelessly to present the true interpretation of Islam – the message of peace; uniting communities with the motto of “Love for All Hatred for None”.
The community advocates peace, tolerance, love and understanding among followers of different faiths.
The community has its humble beginnings in Qadian, a remote village in India, and today it is busy serving mankind in over 200 countries of the world.
The Finland chapter of the Ahmadiyya Community was established in 1987 and it was not until early 2000s when it started to get organized with the incoming of the students. So despite being relatively new community in Finland
Ahmadiyya Muslimi Jamaat Suomi we are organising variety of programs to help eliminating hate, discrimination and extremism and to promote love, religious harmony and loyalty to the country. These programs include
- peace symposiums
- regular country wide city cleanups,
- visits to nursing homes to meet old and share gifts and time with them,
- charity walks
- refugee camps, providing them clothing and food with guidance on how to live in Finnish society. And many more..
As Ahmadi Muslims, we believe that we must abide by these values in our daily life as they help foster a sense of unity, cohesion, harmony and peace in the world. So we also focus on personal and spiritual development of our members and hold workshops and classes to groom them as better persons for themselves and society.
The community’s spiritual leader (Khalifa), remains devoted to peace and reminds us that: “Islam teaches us to always be mindful towards God Who is our creator and to always keep His memory fresh in our hearts and to deal with His creation with love, affection, harmony and tolerance.” All our activities are organized under direct guidance of our Khalifa.
Majlis Ansarullah, an auxiliary organization of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, has been at the forefront in organizing information stalls here in the Finland and try to remove the barriers between religions and cultures by removing misconceptions about Islam.
