Make sure to calibrate your phone

Qibla Finder works with your device’s compass. To make sure that the direction is as accurate as possible, It is recommend to calibrating your compass before using. 

How do you calibrate Qibla?

  1. Tap Menu > Qibla.
  2. Calibrate your device by making 5 or 6 times large 8-shaped loops in front of you.
  3. The arrow should point in the right direction.
 

What is Qibla?

Qibla is the fixed direction towards the Ka’bah in the Grand Mosque in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. It’s the direction which all Muslims face when performing their prayers, wherever they are in the world.

How we calculate Qibla

The location of Kaaba is (Lat 21.4224779 Long 39.8251832), we use “Google Qibla finder” which uses your current location (provided by GPS or manually) to determine the most direct route between two points on the globe.

How to change permissions on mobile devices

To change permissions simply go to your browser permission settings, and allow (or disallow) this site to access your camera and/or location or simply follow the instruction appear on screen.
